UPDATE: We collected $303 for local Red Cross recovery efforts at our visit to the Orange Ale House and at the November bout!
In addition to Storm Sandy donations, at the bout we also collected:
- cards to send to 30 soldiers and veterans through the American Red Cross Holiday Mail for Heroes program
- 22 coats, plus some other winter wear, for Backyard Humanitarian to assist individuals in need in Stamford
- and several bags of food and supplies for the Meriden Humane Society.
Thank you all for being such generous fans and friends!

Superstorm Sandy has had an impact on all of our lives and communities. Most of us have been very fortunate to endure the storm in safety with relatively minor inconveniences and minimal impact. However, many in our lives and our communities, and our surrounding region, will be recovering from the devastation for months and years to come. Our hearts go out to all who have suffered losses.
Please consider making a donation to recovery and relief efforts.
The American Red Cross provides disaster services to communities at the local level all around the country. There is always a need for these and their many other services. Find out how you can donate and other ways to help their efforts on the American Red Cross website.
Many other organizations in your local area may be assisting with recovery efforts as well. Check with your town and local groups, or search volunteermatch.org to find local opportunities to provide hands on assistance.
If you are in need of assistance, don’t hesitate to seek out the services in your community!
